Spika Design & Manufacturing, Inc., a Montana-based manufacturer of custom-engineered safety work platforms, has achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2. This certification confirms Spika’s implementation of cybersecurity practices aligned with U.S. Department of War requirements for protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Federal Contract Information (FCI).

The certification reflects Spika’s continued role supporting federal and defense programs, with more than 25 years of experience delivering engineered access solutions for secure, mission-critical environments.

CMMC Level 2 certification requires full implementation of the 110 security requirements defined in NIST SP 800-171 Revision 2 and reflects successful assessment by an accredited CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO). The certification positions Spika to support Department of War contracts that involve sensitive unclassified information and require verified cybersecurity maturity.

“CMMC Level 2 confirms that our internal controls match the responsibility of the programs we support,” said Katie Spika, President and Chief Executive Officer. “We’ve built our systems around protecting customer information because accountability and continuous improvement are essential when supporting regulated, mission-critical environments.”

Spika designs and manufactures OSHA-compliant access platforms and engineered work-support equipment used across aerospace and defense manufacturing, maintenance and sustainment; ground support operations; secure facilities; and other regulated industrial applications. The company supports customers working in high-consequence environments where safety, reliability, and information protection are critical to mission success.

“As CMMC requirements are incorporated across defense contracts, readiness matters,” said Bekhi Spika, Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer. “This certification allows Spika to continue supporting government and aerospace programs with confidence, knowing cybersecurity expectations are already met.”

In addition to CMMC Level 2 certification, Spika operates under an AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system for the design and manufacture of aluminum access platforms and support equipment. All design and manufacturing activities are performed at Spika’s 20,000-square-foot facility in Lewistown, Montana, USA.

Spika is registered under UEI RE4BLG4W9FL4 and holds CAGE Code 4AC84, with primary NAICS classification 332312 and additional codes supporting aerospace and defense procurement. Products are available through GSA Schedule Contract GS-07F-0086U. Spika is certified as a Women-Owned Small Business and is recognized by OSHA’s SHARP program for excellence in workplace safety and health practices.
